This Should Never Be Said, With Or Without Context

Warrensburg, Missouri 2008 or 2009 Age seven was apparently a bad year for me. You might have heard that every 7 years, every cell in your body has died, and been replaced, essentially making you a new person. This is false -->  Here lies the proof When I was 7 I was at a routine check-up at the Doctor's. As were about to sign out I got bored of waiting for my Mom to do the paperwork, and wandered off to the Nurses lounge. I thought that Nurses had to be nice, because they help people, therefore, the perfect people to hang out with. The Nurses thought I was cute, and asked where my Mama was, and I told them. The Nurse I approached did a standard "If I poke you here does that hurt?". As my Mom approached, the Nurse asked me "Has anyone touched you inside your underwear?" to which I replied "Yes, and Daddy took pictures". My Mom, and the Nurse looked at each other. The Nurse said "You know I have to report this right?" Mom replied "Pl...

The Event Which Shall Not Be Named

As a kid I was sometimes held down, and forced to watch horror movies. Sometimes as punishment, sometimes not. I'm writing this just to make a record of my memories. Would I rather forget? Yes. But I want to document everything that happened so if I ever get to see my abuser on trial I have a record of what happened. There were many incidents. This one is one I've been fighting to forget. Belton, Missouri 2008 or 2009 I started acting different when I was 7. A bad kind of different. This was the age when I first started displaying symptoms of trauma. My stomach hurts remembering. Or because I didn't eat lunch. Probably both. Before: It was Adam (Dad), Erika (Step Mother), Brady (Step-Uncle, younger than me), Landon (Step-Uncle, younger than me), and Me. Adam, and Erika had rented a movie. They liked scary movies, and movies by [Director's Name], the movie was animated in his signature style. The Movie was [Movie Name]. They put the movie in, and set up the title screen...

The Harry Potter Role Play Website I Got for My 13th Birthday

Before I had this blog, I had a website. It was made by my mom for my 13th birthday, role-modeled after her own Harry Potter RP site. I though Magikal was a super cool website so when my mom made me pinktiger.boards.net I was super excited for all the fun times I could have with my friends. When it became apparent none of my friends were as interested in online Harry Potter Role Play as I was I quickly abandoned the site. Lost to time, with only a handful of members (four of which are just me with different names) I thought it had gotten taken down long ago. The last I had heard of it was when my long-time bff told me she had visited it in 2015. Hadn't really heard, or thought about it since. Until today. Pink Tiger was named after my favorite color, and favorite animal. So original, I know. The current members are Admin (my mom), DarkAngel (my long-time bff), Alice (a girl I used to go to school with who was more Angel's friend than mine), kittykat (Me), Paris (a character of...

How Dare You Make Me Cry?!

Promotional Poster for Hamilton Hamilton (Left), and Burr (Right) Burr (Far Left), Eliza (Left), Angelica (Center), and Peggy (Right) The first time I watched the musical Hamilton, I was by myself. I saw it on Disney +, the day it came out, having heard the hype, but never seen it. I thought it was okay, first act was boring, overall it was okay. Hamilton wasn't the best rapper (or singer), and on my own the emotional scenes just felt awkward to me. Tonight I watched it with my mom (on Disney +). She hadn't seen it either so I suggested we watch it together. Watching it the second time with someone else made a big difference. Movies are just fine watching on your own, they are something to be both private, and shareable. Theater, however, well it's something you kind of need to watch with someone. Imagine sitting in a Broadway Theater, and you are the only one there. Sure the novelty would be interesting, but it just wouldn't be as fun being the only pers...

Everything Is Just Peachy (Everything Is Just A Dumpster Fire)

It's late, and I'm tired. So I'll cut to the chase. I'm not known for being the most reliable writer. I mean the sheer amount of posts I've made that promise a part two, that are still sitting, and collecting dust. Well I doubt I have an audience. I don't remember how long it's been since I posted, but I'm in a bad mood so I don't even care. This is a vent. This is for me. This is NOT for my lying, cheating, douche of a now ex-boyfriend. I don't even want to get into it right now, I just want to cry or scream, or punch him in his stupid face. I know it's not my fault, but I can't help to berate myself for starting this relationship. To be honest I don't love him. I don't have a strong emotional connection to him. I feel upset, but also like I could move on tomorrow afternoon. If I decide to post again, I'll explain more. Basically my point is this: I finally get a boyfriend After years of being alone, wishing for love ...

Fahrenheit 451 - Part One

Image
First, a few Updates: 1. I am now legally an adult! Woo! 2. I GRADUATED!!!!!!!!! I honestly wasn't sure I would make it but I did!!!! 3. In a couple weeks I am going to be moving out so I can start my new job as an apartment manager 4. I just ate half a pint of ice cream at one-something a.m. Now that we have gotten that stuff out of the way let's get down to business. So for my birthday, me and my mom went to the mall we saw Avengers: Endgame (10/10) and I got lots of stuff. One of the things I got was Fahrenheit 451. I haven't read it yet but am very excited to since it is a very famous piece of literature. Now I've been wondering lately, since I have time on my hands what to write on my blog. I was pretty stumped until I had a brilliant idea. Me: What should I write for my blog? Maybe I should get rid of it since I don't post much. Myself: Don't, it is important Me: Why? Myself: Because it is okay? Wait, are you ever going to read those boo...

Shell Shocker: A Review

Image
Do you ever meet people, whether in real life or online that you just connect with? Have you ever stayed true to your team, unwavering loyalty until you were all that is left of a once magnificent plane? The key clacks of a glorious battle still ring in my ears as I recall my time on https://shellshock.io I had heard about the game at school. My peers had a preference of playing this game rather than do their work. A dangerous game considering how close we are to graduation. I was at home while my mother was on her computer. I told her about the game, and she went to investigate playing as "Your Mom" (Yes, really). I quickly sat myself before my desk in order to join on the fun. Upon entering the website I equipped myself with a RPEGG (this game is filled with egg puns). Entering the first fight I figured out the controls, and gave some ominous one-liners. Quickly getting bored, out of lack of intellectually stimulating company, I moved on. Hopping from game t...

Oh My Gosh it makes sense now!

Image
So  you know when you look something up or you happen across something and it clarifies a thing? I got that feeling! I was singing Disney songs (because I like singing) and I decided to sing Whole New World with my cat (because we are that cute #catgoals). Singing through the song with him I got to this part: A whole new world (Every turn a surprise) With new horizons to pursue (Every moment, red letter) I'll chase them anywhere There's time to spare (Anywhere) There's time to spare (Let me share) This whole new world with you A whole new world (A whole new world) That's where we'll be (Where we will be) A thrilling chase (A wondrous place) For you and me I was like "What does red letter mean?" Oh, Google you make me a happy woman. Red Letter means  any day of special significance or opportunity. That makes so much sense! Flying on the carpet, travelling the world, this was a day of significance and opportunity to Jasmine. So dear world, i...

It is no secret here that I am in love with Tom Hiddleston. Probably noted by my two part extravaganza "Tom Hiddleston Appreciation Time". I also harbor feelings for the wonderful, marvel ously fantastic Loki Odinson! (Heh heh marvel ously) Anyway, I also read a lot of fanfiction. Specifically Loki(Marvel)/Reader fics. So i'm reading all these fanfictions and I'm like: "Hey, I wanna write summa dat" ™ So I got myself a little account of Archive Of Our Own and so far I have two fanfictions. I'm actually having a lot of fun!

PSA: Misandry is Not Feminism

Image
We should all know what Misogyny is. Misogyny is the dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women. We hear this word often enough that we have a clear cut understanding of what it is. Feminism is more misunderstood. Being a feminist is often laden with baggage and associated with stereotypes. One of the more serious misunderstandings is that Feminism means you hate men or want them killed. This is not true. Feminism is the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes. Now there are people who do hate men and think they should be killed. This is not Feminism and this is not being a 'Feminazi'. There is a proper term for this however. Misandry is the dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against men.

Blast From The Past Continued/The Art of Film Making

Image
So in digging through the videos saved on my computer I found a complete gem. A film I made when I was 13. It was shot in one take with my laptop's camera, it is 47 minutes long and was performed with Barbie's. Also the entire thing was improv. My mom was in charge of music and Rapunzel. Basically these four friends go to the middle of the forest at night to pick a pumpkin for their Halloween party. Then after four ghosts show up telling them not to pick pumpkins a vampire appears and kills one of the guys. Then the vampire fights a cat who is the guardian of the pumpkin that keeps humanity alive. The story concludes with two of the side characters dancing to Joker music with a cameo of an Orca. That is just a brief summary. I just got done watching and I am still processing what I just saw. I mean, what was 13 year old me thinking? It was made with such purpose and concentration. I was very serious about my art. Unfortunately I can't post my film here because I accide...

Blast From The Past

Oh God Why Am I Like This? Why did I decide to re-read some of my old posts and listen to this horrid monstrosity. This song plays when a demon rises from hell . Why?! I found it in my post "I Am Questioning Everything" Listening to it again was a mistake. Update: 4/26/19      5:11 pm I'm going to listen to it again. I am trying to mentally prepare myself for it because I know this is a bad idea. See you on the other side... 5:13 pm At 23 seconds in I had to stop it, I got to uncomfortable. The song was suffocating me like being smothered in hell's liquid sin. It is 5:17 and I am going back in. 5:18 pm This comment on the video sums up things well: Begone foul demon Cotton Eyed Joe, Thy grasp here faded a long time ago, From whence did you come, there you shall go, I seal thee away now, Cotton Eyed Joe. Please God make it stop. 5:20 pm It has stopped, and I am free

Look Guys I Made A Drawing In Paint!

Image
Look I made my imaginary initials in Paint! You know what this means? I can make my own cute little visuals if Google Images doesn't have what I need! (It has happened before) Not that there will be many of these because I overestimated my skills and this is very low quality. But I made it! Want to see some random pictures I have saved on my Computer? No pictures of me (Sorry), but some random pics nonetheless. Please keep in mind I have had this laptop since middle school so not all of this reflects current me. These are all just pictures on my laptop, no rhyme or reason. Paint Drawing  Not even my cat A picture of my hometown square  There is this awesome website weavesilk.com  where you can make pretty stuff like this  I don't really like my real name so I take lots of "What Should Your Name Really Be?" type of quizzes. This is from a "What Was Your Name In A Past Life?" quiz.  I made a little snowflake   http://weave...

Now That Break Is Over I Eat Like Garbage Again.

Image
Tabitha Catherine Peering Out of Her Natural Habitat (circa 2019, colorized) Over Winter Break I actually managed to start eating healthier. I wasn't as interested in hot dogs, PB&J, and Ramen. I started eating more fish, produce, and in general eating less processed meats. As well as seriously cutting down my carb intake. I also drank more water. Things were really looking up, I was also happier and started doing more activities that I used to enjoy (I enjoyed things again! Yayyy!) Then school started again... Today was my eighth day back and I am already eating like garbage and no longer finding fulfillment in activities I used to enjoy. Am I depressed? Nah... Anyway school has been complete nooglarkishnagin I couldn't think of a word so I made one up. I do not even know how to encompass all the stress, anger, anxiety, and emptiness that school gives me into words. Maybe a blog wasn't my best decision, I think I've always had a hard t...

Oikos Yogurt Is After Me (Or YouTube Is After Me)

Image
So I posted my ' Why Are Yogurt Ads Primarily Aimed At Women ?' In it, a question and a satirical ad script. I posted it and thought nothing of it. It's not like my blog is famous or influental. I occasionally post something to spit out my thoughts. I know I don't have a big audience and the fact that I rarely post probably adds to that. (Get it? Adds, Ads. Heh heh. Well I thought it was funny) Then YouTube starts showing me ads for Oikos Yogurt . Specifically the Protein version. The ads are all like "Official Yogurt of the NFL" and has all these guys and girls enjoying yogurt. Here is the ad . However, there is one line in particular that strikes me: "Prove the doubters wrong" I know this isn't being aimed at me specifically but honestly it's weird that this ad with this line starts playing on my YouTube just a while after I posted that. At first I wasn't even paying attention to the ads. Sure there's a yogurt ad playin...

Why Are Yogurt Ads Primarily Aimed At Women?

Image
I don't eat yogurt to often. It's good but some foods I only really like if I have them once or twice a year. Take yogurt for example. When I was a kid I loved it. I'd beg my parents to get me a bunch of yogurt and then eat a bit and get bored. Over time I like yogurt less and less and the amount of flavors I actually enjoyed also narrowed down. This is my first time eating yogurt in years. I decided to break off from Activia and try a new brand to see if I would like it more. Right now I am having Tillamook "Good & Creamy" (hehehehe) in Oregon Dark Cherry. But there is this weird aftertaste so there might be poison. IDK, I'll get back to you on that. I don't know if I've mentioned it before but I am Lactose Intolerant. I am not torturing myself, instead I take this magical little product called Lactaid. Lactaid how do I love thee? Let me count the ways... One, One thousand Two, Two thousand Three, Three thousand By the way, i...

Who Are You Calling A Prat?!

Image
Pratt Institute is a very expensive College in New York that apparently really wants me to join them. They are also one T away from being a British insult. Prat noun  informal 1. British an incompetent, stupid, or foolish person; an idiot 2. A person's butt A little education for you. Anyway this is the second time Pratt has sent me a letter. I really want to go too. The first time they sent me a letter the big, bold, yellow letters stood out to me: First to enter my mind was the thought "Who are you calling a prat!?" I was rather offended at first. I legitimately thought (for a very brief moment) that someone had sent me a letter purely to insult me. Looking at the address just confused me, who in Brooklyn New York thinks I'm a prat. Well evidently Pratt Institute thinks that I am Pratt material. I think I'm a Pratt too. The Good: My grand-mere offered to pay for me to go to College. The Bad: It's because me and my mom are to poor to afford ...

I Have A Cat (Here Are Some Elvis Songs)

I have cat, his name is Tizzy. For the record I did not name him. My great-grandmother did. My cat is named after my great-grandmothers Uncle. He fought during World War II and when he came back he had a new nickname "Tizzy." I remember when my great-grandmother told me the story. She had asked him how he got the nickname and he replied "I hope you never know little girl" and that was that. So now, many years later I have cat named after him. Before my great-grandmother started having problems I loved listening to her stories. One thing I know is that my great-grandmother loved listening to Elvis. She was a huge Elvis fan. So much so she kind of named my grandpa after him (No his name was not Elvis, I said kind of). So in their honor here are some Elvis songs. 1. Burning Love 2. Hound Dog 3. Stuck On You Back to my cat. Tizzy is (of course) very fluffy and adorable. He is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately he was a very sick kitten and has some health ...

My Vocabulary Is Too Advanced For My English Teacher

Image
You would think that being a High School English Teacher, you would know words like obsolete and impartial. Well not my English teacher. How could one be so asnine ? Maybe I want to sound pretentious ? Asnine: foolish, unintelligent, or silly; stupid Pretentious: characterized by assumption of dignity or importance, especially when exaggerated or undeserved Just kidding, anyway I was writing an introduction for an argumentative essay today in English class and asked the teacher to read it and give me feedback. Besides a few minor punctuation and grammar errors, her one complaint is that I used words that were too big. Okay, when I write Blog posts I'm typing how I think and how I talk. I do not write this like a formal essay. When I write formally I pull out all the stops using big words, going to Thesaurus.com. You know, the works. Taking the college class for one semester last year, I was never told that my words were too big. But apparently my own English teache...
